The United Nations has created 17 Sustainable development goals to be achieved by 2030. These are global goals which aim to create a sustainable future for all people, and to preserve and protect the planet. These goals encourage all countries to take action, and work together to end poverty, achieve equality and improve education, economic growth and health care. 

NIUPATCH is currently highlighting the UN's 17 Sustainable development goals which are most relevant to Aotearoa and the rest of the Pacific, and exploring how these goals are applicable and can be applied in our local communities.
